Sup /g/,
I'm interested in putting one of my monitors in a portrait (vertical) orientation for superior webbrowsing.
Any of you got a portrait monitor setup? How's it treating you?

i have a pair of portrait mode monitors and a landscape monitor (my laptop). it's great for web browsing, reading, coding, etc...
if you work for a living, it's great. if you play games and eat chicken tendies all day, maybe leave it in landscape (or at least make sure your monitor articulates easily)

I have a multi-monitor setup and my TV connected a few feet away. I intend to keep one of my monitors in landscape and a 24 inch one in portrait for work/browsing.
I play 90% of games on the TV in comfy couch mode anyway so that's really no concern.
I still need to find an affordable vertical VESA stand for my monitor though. Might go with a swingarm setup.
I use a PLP setup (12*16-4K-12*16) and I mostly just put my downloads, music player and other applications I need only glance at on the portrait monitors. Leaving my 40" monitor free for video and stuff.

Great but being a poorfag that I am I use my TN panel vertical monitor and it absolutely fucking sucks. Planning to throw it in the trash and upgrade my 2nd monitor...
I was just as excited as you to get a portrait monitor. After trying it out, I've kept it in landscape.
It's just not comfortable compared to dual landscape monitors. You have to lean back to see both the top and the bottom at once, and there were no real upsides to it. Don't do it.
