I bought a smartphone for 150$ CAD,
Blue R1 HD, got 2gb RAM and external. Could not be happier.

I don't need 2GB+ RAM. If I do, I'd rather get that on a tablet.

I seem to be in the same position as you, OP. Sure there are Chinese variants with the same spec and shittier build quality, but I honestly can't find any other phone currently on the market that can match the HTC 10 in terms of price and features. The better headphone audio being the real big selling point for me. I have $550 to drop, so I'm probably going to go though with it, but I'd like to see if anyone else can provide any REAL reason as why not to get it.

Nexus 6Ps were also floating around for pretty cheap, but the flimsy build of it is what's keeping me from pulling the trigger.
