Tried everything until I ran out of battery.

It stopped charging alltogether. Only time it was picked up by my computer was in fastboot mode and edl mode. ADB never worked, worked on all my other devices though.

I flashed twrp, as I said, all good. Went to boot into system and now we're stuck on the mi screen.

Literally just mi - mi.com none of the 'powered by android' stuff or anything. Computer isn't picking it up, and if I try and switch it off it immediately reboots to that screen and nothing further. Can't into recovery or fastboot mode.

Some anon in the last thread asked for a review of the red circle mechanical pencil. Although I'm not the anon who was requested, I've owned mine for a year now and think that the quality is pretty good. I kept it in my bag with all my other writing utensils, and the paint held up extremely well, with only some slight wear on the grip. The one complaint that I do have is that the lead sheath ( I think that's what that steel tip is called) is secured extremely poorly, and has a tendency to wiggle around and possibly fall out. Other anons in past threads also seemed to have this problem. What I did to fix mine was to use a bit of super glue to secure it into position.

About $75 iirc, and just about powerful enough to lift a GoPro. It is however a big heavy fucker which means it's a) too large to put in the average backpack and b) picks up a fair bit of momentum so you'd be best off getting a lighter and cheaper thing to learn the basics. The quad itself is pretty good at fighting winds but vibration damping on it is minimal so it will fuck up your videos, though to a greater or lesser extent this applies to any quad that might qualify as chink shit.
