If you're talking about the original nexus 5, the LG G2 is the closest thing to the N5 since both were made by LG at the same time, just the G2 had slightly better specs.

As for the G4... I'd make sure it's a refurb that has already gone through warranty repair because it won't end up having the bootloop defect, since the connector that caused that problem will have been properly repaired.

The chip in the 650 is also a snapdragon 212 as opposed to the snapdragon 210 in the 550 which makes quite a big difference during general use.

I've found the os hardly ever lags and is very responsive overall. Don't expect to play any games on it mind you but if the extent of your usage is going to be phone stuff, some social apps and web browsing then the 650 is more than capable of holding its own.

5 inch is the name of the game most of the time these days. Honestly it looks horrifying at first glance but you get used to it quite quickly.

However if you are hellbent on smaller phones I know that the Xperia compact range is a good one to look at mainly because its simply a smaller version of an xperia flagship and because of this the specs of most of the compact range remain exactly the same as their bigger counterparts.

Check GSMArena first before jumping on anything though. Research is important.

I did that with the iphone 3s, jackass. I got them new and got a $150/mo plan for them. Been using them THIS ENTIRE TIME without billing issues. Without a late or missed payment. Now, years later, I'm trying to upgrade and they're being assholes about it.

sup boys, so I have this really odd problem with my HTC M8.
A bit of history because it maybe play a part into the problem.
It got really hot in the summer but still worked, about 5hrs later at work I wanted to check my mails and the M8 crashed into blackscreen and from that point on it didn´t boot normal anymore.
It shows the normal HTC bootscreen for a few secs and then shuts down again.
After I put pluged in the powersupply it still didn´t really booted and after like 20 trys of rebooting I factory reseted it with the internal bootloader.
It did work for like 3hours and then again blackscreened on me while still having the power suply pluged in. I got it to work again after pluging it on my pc but it blackscreened again after a short time. In between I even could use it without powersupply but It shut down again.

Any ideas? I think its the battery but error is just to strange for me to go into the effort of changing the battery.

Had a Nexus 6 since launch. Mini review?

Camera can produce some pretty high quality shots during the day with HDR turned on, but definitely focus hunts a lot. In low light it's trash and usually produces a plain black image when other phones can pick something up. Outside under a street light? Black image. The focus hunting and lag is a major issue during capturing. Images and videos take a while to capture and process, feels like the phone is going to completely crash during this. Also, due to the underclocking of the device at lower battery levels I end up with ~20fps video footage if the phone is <50% battery.

Software what can I say. Stock android is beast mode but this phone is left in the dust by other Nexus devices. Still no Nougat.

Hardware is pretty good. Big screen that looks real nice, I honestly am a fan of the 6 inch screen size but I've got big hands. Screen has the nav buttons a little burnt in but not too noticeable. Isn't really bright enough during the day. Front facing speakers are good. Some lint got in my headphone jack and I can't get it out but I use bluettoth in my car and don't really listen to music unless I'm driving or at my desk.

Battery life and processing are two major sore spots. I made it from 9am to almost 7pm today with about 2:48 of screen on time. No games just streaming podcasts on YouTube (screen off) and some Chrome/Snapchat plus the usual texting. Unacceptable to me. Speaking of games they tend to lag and freeze quite a bit. Hearthstone runs horrible compared to my girlfriends iPhone 6S+. There is a noticeable underclocking after the 50% mark and the phone begins to slow down drastically and drop frames. It gets progressively worse as the battery drains further.

Want a new phone by the end of the year. Hopefully the new Nexus doesn't disappoint but I feel it might. Otherwise I'm considering the OP3, 6S+, and 6P. What would you guys recommend between the three? Battery life and camera are my number one desires.

I mean I do feel envy when I see people using the older, smaller iPhones. They are using small smartphones with good specs. Yet android is a big deal to me. Fuck closed ecosystem, fuck iTunes, also fuck built-in battery and fuck non-USB connector.

Yet if there was an option to run android natively (not emulated) on it I'd probably go buy an older iPhone right now.
