A commit in two months doesn't mean shit. It's not uncommon for a project like this for everybody to fuck off and just take a break for a while. Or hell, maybe they just don't know what to really work on. Current version is stable and just werks. That's really all you can ask for in a case like this desu.
If no commit happens in 6 months, or closer towards a year, then it's probably ded.
