>When you see someone actually typing capital letters by turning caps lock on and then off
I used to be like that. Fixed it by installing Linux.

You hold down the shift key when typing in caps?
Are you retarded?
That's how I type, it's slower I know but it's how I learned to first type and I haven't gotten round to actively getting rid of the bad habit

I don't do that, but for some people it's faster to do it, because they don't have to move away from the touchtyping position (don't know the exact word for that). But our keyboards have a shorter Shift key, for the backslash, so that might be why.

When I type long documents for school I omit capital letters and just enable caps lock when I'm done and add the letters on the proof reading. Saves a lot of time and also sometimes auto correct does the work for me and fills with a capital letter, like 30% of the time it works.

I don't understand why the fuck would anyone type acronyms without just using CAPS lock. Fuck typing every single letter while holding shift - especially while touch typing, and you have to think about which shift to use depending on the side of the keyboard containing each letter.
