I just got myself a pretty cheap smart watch. But I just found out it acts like a phone instead of a watch. Is there a way I can switch the OS with an android wear OS.

You have to download the app to your smart phone by scanning the QR code located in the system.
As far as I know, there is no way to flash a different ROM on there, as there is no recovery mode from what I remember.
