For me it's the other way kinda.

Both mpv and mpc (no madvr or w/e) look like the first pic but if I use profile=opengl-hq with mpv it looks like your second pic with much more vibrant colors.

Because Linux "base" player is VLC and VLC sucks.
On Windows MPC is clearly superior against MPV.
If you watch Animes at 720p,you can easily use implemented meme filter.
Animes at 480p easiely upscale with madVR
Moreover MPC has more meme filter which improve

I need to currynigger hack mpc on, and use a fork to use mpv effectively. In the end, baka m player works well enough, I don't have to screw with it, or install 20 different hacks
