I really don't see why this isn't more common desu. It's bad when you're releasing a new version of your software and instead of providing a AppImage or similiar to your users you have to wait until the Distro's version updates.
Which is currently at 2.3. And the newest one is 4.5.
Seriously, who wants to do go through any of this trouble of adding custom PPAs, third party debs, sude that ,sudo this, when all you do on Windows is go to the website, download the .exe, run it.
