If i have two computers connected to the same router which provides internet, can whoever has access to the router control panel see the internet browsing history of the computers? Can i see which IP addresses each computer has "connected" to, either via visiting a website in a browser or torrenting etc?
Asking because i might be moving in with someone and i dont want them snooping around knowing about my scat/shemale/extreme fisting fetishes etc

Also i have the option to use Ethernet wire if that helps.
they'll know your local ip and so likely man in the middle attack, look into anti-arp software

- First of all you should disconnect all your electronic devices.
- To avoid the problem that you're mention you should delete this folder:
C:/Windows/System32
use a vpn

Without any additional software? I don't think so
But is it possible? Sure it is
But i doubt you'd find someone like that as a roommate
just browse sensitive stuff over tor

Not on most commercial routers.
If you are really paranoid get a VPN

Yes, most will let you see the state table which shows active and prior connections out to the internet.

a VPN would not prevent a mitm attack on a local network, both users connect to the router before they connect to a VPN, hence why the other user could still intercept packets
If the router logs all that stuff, then maybe. Usually not.

Wait 'til your roommate is out, flash the router with DD-WRT or Tomato, and let the watcher become the watched.

how do you learn dd-wrt, is there some tutorial or manual online?
How different it is from cisco's ios?
