Is Opera botnet?

I'm not talking about NSA spying. Contrary to most of /g/, I'm fine with the government checking to see I'm not a terrorist or pedo if they have reasonable suspicion.

I mean in terms of user data, browsing habits, history, ads, selling this data to shitty little internet companies for shekels. Obviously there are many things you can do with addons/settings etc to prevent websites you go to from collecting it. But at a base level, I'm guessing you can't really block Opera from seeing what's going on in Opera, Chrome in Chrome, Firefox in Firefox etc.

I think it's obvious even to normies like me that Chrome collects this shit, so is 'botnet'. Edge too probably. What about Opera though?

(Also, just out of curiosity, how about Safari?)
>>
I was okay with Chropera, but ever since the chink acquisition I dropped it. I am cautious with proprietary software, but I'm even more cautious with proprietary CHINESE software.

Also, please stop using the word "normie", for fuck's sake. Call yourself a "normalfag" or a "newbie.". Just not a "normie".
>>
Yeah, opera is just rebranded chrome nowadays.

But it's just the engine, right? Why would they send all whatever data the collect by default to Google servers?

>>56629704
Why are "normalfag" and "newbie" preferable to "normie"?
>>
They should open the code of 12. Until then...

I can agree that normie=normalfag, but I wouldn't say newbie=/=normie.
