Going to college next year as it is my senior year in high school. I am applying as a Computer Science major with an alt major of mechanical engineering. If anyone has any advice for what kind of laptops are good for college in those majors please feel free to share. Also if you think I should wait for the next generation of Intel chips lmk as well because if I needed to wait I could go without a laptop for a while, or just buy a cheap one to last me til the new generations! I would also like this laptop to last me through all 4 years of college so I do not mind spending a little more money if I need to. Some things that are important to me are:
Screen resolution
Battery life
Comfort of keyboard
I am open to trying any OS and any brands!

Update:
I wanted to add that I have a gaming desktop that I plan to bring with me as well. I dont think I will need so much heavy duty power in a laptop with access to this.

Engineering is harder than CS. That's a shit backup.
Whatever works for you, it hardly matters. Trust me.
Im not worried about the difficulty I am just more interested in CS than mechanical Engineering
