>that one idiot who types his web search queries as questions instead of using keywords
welcome to 2016 granpa
google ai can recognize your question ;)
I've always done questions. How does the keyword method go? Just type in random keywords?
what's the better method?
I always just do the search terms. I never use full sentences in searches
>>56607065
You type in what you're searching for, moron. Just don't frame it as a question and don't make it a full sentence like a retard.
>2k16
>typing
omfg how old are u /gee/
>>56606742
>can't refrain from being an autist even when typing
How pathetic
>>56606742
why do you care
how do you even know how people are searching
fucking sperg.
>>56607085
this
>>56606742
>>56607278
>arbitrary info
WOAH WOAH WOAH
...how did OP get this intel?
>>56607518
>...how did OP get this intel?
He got it... Inside
Has anyone else noticed a change in effectiveness for keywords on Google? I swear the search algorithm is getting worse, with more irrelevant results for me compared with five or ten years ago.
>>56607540
There's just more sites online as well as a library of books on how to manipulate search results
>>56607538
mcfucking kill yourself
>>56607613
Burgerfucking king yourself
>>56607499
>using google
>>56606742
Tfw using questions others would ask is also a viable search tactic
>>56606742
>2016
>not knowing the results before asking a search engine
>>56607887
Very often, by searching as a question, you will get results of articles with your question as the title. It's definitely viable.
>>56606742
Then there's the other idiot that uses a search engine to the a web address.... That really triggers me.
>>56606742
You're literally retarded. If you have a programming question you google the question because you're looking for stack overflow posts asking the same question.
>>56608241
This, OP is dumb
>>56608088
my lady friend does this.
I have bitched at her hundreds of times.
I get triggered EVERY FUCKING TIME.
Also, 40+ tabs open constantly.
>wake me up inside
>>56606742
>not vaguely responding your question
you get better results
>type www.google.com into search bar
>click on first link
>type in search query
I have seen this
>>56607196
Either this is bait or you are a moron.
Proper questions in Google usually turn up the exact same question you are asking with a relevant answer.
>>56608376
not him, but he's probably talking about efficiency; like just typing "nsa where" instead of "where is the nsa building located"
>>56606742
Holy shit is homer using one of those ergonomic keyboards?
>>56607065
>asked about OP's faggotry
>google don't know OP is always faggot
>>56608416
>>56608403
How many searches are you performing in a short period of time?
>>56608403
>like just typing "nsa where" instead of "where is the nsa building located"
>>56608490
Of course nowadays it's better to ask full questions, days of keywords are long over.
>>56608352
What a fucking autist you are, get out of mom's basement.
>>56607540
Google also has been pulling some search results and trying to cater search results more to what they think you want than purely on relevance.
Annoyingly, Bing actually works for relevant searching and if google keeps on their path they may cause their competitor to be a choice worth a half second of consideration instead of none.
>open IE
>use URL bar dropdown, find google.com
>click in search box
>stare at keyboard while hunting and pecking
industrial welding suplies
>look up
>backspace backspace backspace backspace
lies
>stare at search box autocomplete results
>click an autocomplete result
>immediately, reflexively click first blue link underneath search box
>immediately scroll down to middle of SEO-d blogspam garbage page
>get distracted by '20 Engineering Solutions You Will Find Amazing' sidebar
>forget what you were looking for
BABY BOOMERS
>>56608490
>>56606742
You're fucking retarded.
>>56608352
I have 1k open right now.
>>56607538
Good one
>>56606742
I've noticed over the past year or so that full questions work better than just keywords for Google search. Also, it seems these days that most Google searches give you at least a half page of online store links before anything actually useful. Fucking Google.
>/g/ actually defends this
>>56606742
You're right OP, it's retarded.
>>56606742
>Technology
>>56610517
What is even the point in telling implausable and inconsequential lies like this?
>>56608490
>nsa where
>"nsa where what? nsa where did i put my email password?"
what did you expect
>>56610928
I don't really care if you believe me or not but here you go. It's not like this is difficult or anything.
I do however think anyone with less than 100 tabs is weird
>when your teacher is looking for a very specific topic is a niche subject and types in 10 keywords and then says this doesnt exist on the internet
>>56606742
why does my spaghetti make lightning tho
>>56612417
>I do however think anyone with less than 100 tabs is weird
I fucking hate having more than 10 tabs open, how the fuck do you manage 1000.
>>56606742
I use both. Sometimes typing out the whole question will provide context and give a better search.
>>56606742
>that one idiot that doesn't know that google is more adjusted to sentences than to keywords by now
>/g/ doesn't feel lucky
Probably doesn't get lucky either LOL
>>56606742
If it makes sense to ask as a question, I'll do it
For example, why does metal conduct electricity? I'm probably getting an explanation for retards and kids, but if I just search "metal conductivity" I'll probably get some technical research papers and wikipedia pages with no indication of my answer in the little Google blurb
>>56612561
I chuckled. Then I cried.
>>56607065
you can, but you don't need to.
Instead of writing "what was the beatles last album", just try "beatles last album" and save yourself about a month of typing over your lifetime.
>>56608464
there is absolutely nothing wrong with typing with only your index fingers, as long as you arent looking at the keys
>>56610033
I would sugest the same search you did
>>56612643
It's Let it be (1970)
