Anyone use Samba regularly? Having problems with my Samba share on Ubuntu 16.04 not working through a workgroup to my Windows 7 PC. It shows it in Windows 7 but then says its not accessible. Any ideas?

had a similar problem.
its why i gave up and re-installed windows7 as my file server.
>install mint
>doesn't come with samba
>install samba
>connect NTFS 500GB external drive
>have to configure it
>go to computer
>watch movie
>movie stalls 3/4ths of the way
>2gb filesize limit
google it
1st page comes up with no real solutions.
give up.
re-install windows7.

wait samba has a 2gb filesize limit? Fuck this I'm just gonna reinstall windows 7 for my plex server. I jumped through maybe 20 hurdles installing xrdp and a 2nd desktop (Mame) to get rdp working for this? I dont need it for files but for a plex server, which means large files
