Is Manjaro stable enough for an intermediate user to use as a laptop OS for college?

I use it for college. It's fine

No.
Stop being an edgy faggot and use debian. You're not a "hacker"
I don't know
probably
What you studying?

Stable enough, but it would be better to use a distro with competent developers.

Fedora, Debian, etc. Manjaro devs have shown several times that they know basically nothing but "muh aesthetic" so even Ubuntu would be better.

Do yourself a favor and use what your lab uses.
Mine used Win7 and RHEL6 and I had no problems with assignments or stability.
I use arch daily so I imagine so. I think it depends on the laptop. My ThinkPad is pretty widely supported so you can imagine things just werk usually. Manjaro is comparable to Debian testing/sid (can somebody clarify for me? I'm honestly curious) but with a little more anality about it I guess, so I can't imagine anything breaking.
Don't fall for the "arch is shit use debian" meme BTW, both do what they do well and some people just have preferences.

Only sensible choice

The only upside of Manjaro is their mhwd, which effectively ensures that your drivers will be the correct ones.
