I had a dongle for a couple of months, used all my initial data of 5gb since then, topped up just a few days ago with 8gb.
Now it seems that every time I plug it in, I lose about 100mb instantly for some reason. I didn't download anything, I didn't watch any vidoes, I haven't even browsed this site the whole time.
I am on wifi now, can someone please explain to me why did I lose 2.1gb in just a few days while 5gb lasted me 2 months. Is it just a fucking scam from the providers? Why is my data disappearing so fast, I didn't have any program open earlier before plugging it in, and I still lost data for no reason.

Use Wireshark to monitor your network and see what is using up your data, probably some bitcoin miner or something

If you have windows 10 pajeet edition that's the reason. Set your connection as metered to stop him updating anything on it.
