Because they don't support USA LTE bands except for the one plus 3. I also feel that if these companies were to target the US market they would get sued for not paying royalties. They're dodging about $50/device in royalties.

Pretty much this. I live in Australia and I used to import Hong Kong versions of the same flagship phone at the time (BlackBerry, Samsung etc.) and you had to match up the MHz range of the bands to make sure it would work properly with your provider. Long story short, it did work, except the lowest (think: 2G) was different in Hong Kong than Australia, which meant sometimes you'd lose network coverage in areas that were still only covered by the weaker signal ranges, rather than having maybe one bar if you had the exact same Australian model phone.

Wew, I take it back. This model has a great camera, still most of these "flagships" still don't though.

I would definitely buy a chink phone if the camera was a good as this on is.

The overall external design and aesthetics of the phone is ugly though and is trying too hard to copy the iphone.

Not anymore. Back in the day when it was 2G and 3G was patchy, it was, as some Aus carriers (Telstra from memory) used 700MHz 2G and pretty much all Hong Kong providers used 900MHz 2G. So you had to be careful your phone came with 700 support (a lot did but some didn't since no carrier uses it in HK).

Well they've updated all lollipop devices to marshmallow, but as far as I can tell, only nexus devices and iPhones get more than a year or so of support.

Third party roms are available to install, you could compile your own cm too if you're not an idiot.

It's a chinkphone, so you'll have to send it back to the seller for warranty.

Very good build quality, won't scratch or bend easily. Full metal chassis.

Fucking beast it is, runs everything we throw at it, PSP games, AAA Android games, everything. The fingerprint sensor is amazingly quick, so my friend literally just picks up his phone with his finger on the back and it unlocks. Even the stock UI is pretty good, unlike 99% of those other chink manufacturers. The camera is really high tier too, i was surprised since these chinkphones usually have dogshit cameras.
The only downside is lack of 3.5mm jack and instead of micro USB, it has that USB C. It's not a bad thing honestly, but USB C has yet to penetrate further into the consumer market until we can say "hey man I need to charge my phone" up to anyone and they have a type C charger
