i got a mechanical keyboard and lately whenever i hit the i key, sometimes it will type "ii" or "iiii" or when ii type "is" it will type it as "isi"
is my mechaniical keyboard dying?
:(
example typiing "i" followed by space or "is":
iis si sii sii sii si siis isii sii i i iiii i i iiiii iiii ii i i i i
is si is is iiis is iis is iis is si iis is iis is is iis iis iis si is sii si si siii sii si si si sii is si si sii si is is is is sii is is is sii sis si
i i i i i i i i ii i i i i ii i i i i i i i i i i i i ii i i ii i i ii i ii i iii i ii i ii i i i ii i i ii iii i i ii i i i i i i i i i i i i i ii i i i i i i i i i i
it seems to be worse when typing fast but then it goes away for a while :(

Nah, the issue is he's a sloppy dirty fuck who gets crap all over his computer area.
OP good luck cleaning out mech key parts without breaking anything. If compressed air cant help an alcohol bath (99% isopropyl you dumb fuck) might clear things up

See. This is the seecond corsair I've had. Neveer again.
It's probably a manufacturing issue, and is eligible to be refunded or replaced.

its about a year old now, it just started in the last week.
i looked at the switch and cant see anything wrong with it
what do you guys think it means that sometimes it does this:
"isi"
that means i hit i, and then s, and it added another i. it's a visible delay too, like a quarter second later that second i comes up
and now theres no issue with it, but then sometimes it will do it almost every time i type ii
damnit see right there it did it
i just dont understand :(
could it be a driver/OS issue?

Your keyswitch is chattering/bouncing. If the board is new, then it is probably a manufacturing defect in the keyboard (less likely the switch).
You can test your whole board with a program like EK's Switchhitter.

If you have a visible delay, then it could be an OS or USB bus issue. Try it on another computer with no other USB devices except a mouse.
