I have the galaxy tab 3 7 inch
I just use it for music, podcasts, audiobooks and books.

I don't even bother using it for a serious tablet

I do like the stereo speakers it has, I noticed that galaxy tab 4 has a mono speaker on the back, doesn't interest me at all

I don't believe you can dual boot these tablets for what you're asking for, it's just android os

Used to have this tablet. Returned it because TouchWiz is disgusting bloat that reduces a usable tab to unusable garbage. Returned it and got a cheap Nexus 7 2013. In your case, might add well keep it since you got it for free. Or you could try and sell it for some amount, your choice. I mostly use my tablet for watching videos, reading books, and taking notes occasionally.
