Looking to buy a new GPU, for less than £300/$400 preferably. Any recommendations? I'd fancy a free game too but the deals right now are crap. Looking at the 980 right now, seems ok?
i mean you either get the nvidia gtx or the amd rx. you can get this years models or the previous generation for less

Any reason I shouldn't go with the rx 480 over the gtx 980? I thought radeons were usually cheaper than geforce, but happy to go for either really.
get a used 980ti.

I found a 980ti at 405€ on amazon, but that's over your budget i guess. If i were you i'll think about the GTX 1060 6gb, it's nearly as powerful as a 980 and costs much less (don't ask me why)
used 980ti>1060=>480>980 imo
