low ESR capacitors vs regular fucking capacitors

You probably want low esr. They are so cheap its not going to make any price difference. Get Panasonic or Nippon chemicon brand caps.
Actually look up the data sheet for the caps you are replacing and get ones with the same specs.

They're super generic, can't seem to find any identifying trait, and it's from an OEM board that's nearly a decade old... suggestions on finding the data sheet for some no name Chinese capacitor bought in bulk circa 2007?

Found it, has a small signature Gold M, which apparently are produced by Panasonic...

The data sheet might not be out there. If you cannot find it look on digitech for a panasonic cap with the same specs as the wrapper on the old ones. Then get the one with the lowest esr value or whatever the fuck it is called.
