I can't find a way to integrate changes in Umbraco with a github account. How retarded am I for not finding anything online?

Has anyone had the same situation:
>work on a site
>have to publish code on github
>site is on Umbraco
>make changes in Umbraco
>have to do double work and repeat process on github
>WHY CAN'T WE HAVE NICE THINGS

Doesn't git have hooks so you can make a pull request automatically on commit?
