The support page says my motherboard has a toslink out port, but it clearly does not.

wtf???

Also how do I get access to digital audio with this then?? Cheapest dacs that take USB are $100....I might as well buy a new mobo that supports toslink
>>
>toslink
1 x optical S/PDIF Out connector
this one? there's a light in the audio jack. check it

Who the fuck uses digital audio anyway? It's just useless cruft making motherboards thicker than they should be in 2016.
>>
Check motherboard's revision. Rev 4.0 doesn't have it apparently.

Digital audio is bad. Use 3.5mm connectors.
>>

Behringer UCA222
Thank me later.

>behringer
Lmao
>>
>>56563214
Why?
>>
>>56563564
Not that guy, but Behringer is to audio gear what Kia is to vehicles. Does the job on a budget but you will need to replace it all if you want to do anything above a prosumer level of quality. If you are serious about audio you may as well just pay up for an avid or other interface and save the hassle.

Anyone who wants to use external dac? Why would you rely on the cheap shit on your motherboard when you can just take the raw audio stream and convert it to analog using high-quality parts that dont get interference from other parts of your motherboard..
