Got a gtx 1070 and having trouble deciding on best monitor resolution to last me a while and be at least 27'. The PC would be used for gaming as well as coding.
A) Two 1440p monitors - how long would the card be able to support this?
B) 1440p and 1080p - Probably for the best, the only obstacle is my autism
C) dual 1080p - spend the money somewhere else
What would /g/ do?
144hz 1080p. 1440p is a dead meme.

144Hz 1440p IPS

Bumping for OP, also need a good monitor for Gigabyte GTX 1070 G1.
27" 1440p which one would you recommend /g/?
>>56555004
PG279Q or the acer equivalent with the 165hz retard-sync panel.

Thanks
One 1440p monitor.
Any thoughts on this one?http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16824001971

Just remember they're expensive as hell and """might""" have quality control issues because asus/acer and AUO producing the panels are cheap fucks.
OP here

Do you think retard-sync a must-have?
>>56555164
This looks cool
>>56555266
Hmmm... I have seen the price and it really is expensive.
>"""might""" have quality control issues because asus/acer and AUO producing the panels are cheap fucks.
Just saw some forum posts about this.
are there any good cheaper alternatives or is g-sync a must, I can tolerate a little tear hear and there.
>>56555304
not a must have and definitely not worth the 100$ extra that comes with goy-sync.
>>56555304
>>56555343
g-sync is not a must at all. I use the mg279q that has freesync myself but I never enable it because 1. I don't see a difference, honestly and 2. muh competitive shooters.
>>56554605
I have a 1070. My main monitor (in the middle) is a 27" 1440p@60Hz and a 24" 1080p@60Hz. No autism triggered because it's symmetric.

I'm using two 25" version of these (freesync version) for my GTX 1070 FTW card. They were on sale for 349$ CAD.
Literally got them yesterday so I haven't had the chance to test any games, but the setup was built for rendering anyways.
>>56555240
what? 144hz 1080p screens are ~$200. less if you buy the korean meme.
>>56555587
Fuck, anon that's a steal for 350
4k 60hz is the way to go unless you play high pace first person shooters in which case you'd want higher hz.

You mean this one?
>>56555764
Yes this one. It was on sale at Staples but we had to drive to two locations to get both of them haha.
Like the others said.
PG278Q or the slightly cheaper XB271HUA.
If you have money to spare:
FS2735
But this has only retard sync for AMD.
>>56556734
retard=free
>>56556734
The two are only if you don't care about IPS, that is.
Otherwise it's PG279Q and XB271HU.
