TV advice.
My TV is the Pioneer Elite Kuro Pro-111FD. I am trying to decide if there has been any TV that has actually surpassed its quality in practical use.
So /g/ what TV's should I look at or should I just stay with my Pioneer longer.

LG's OLED TVs have surpassed the Kuro in every way.

Are they actually affordable or are they crazy overpriced?

Their top of the line OLED models are costly. You're looking at 6 grand or more.
But unless you bought that Kuro at a bargain basement price, you probably paid a pretty fucking penny for that thing as well. They sold for a nice premium back in the day.

Yeah I got mine decently priced. (it was a showroom piece at a Best Buy magnolia room and was only turned on during demo's with high in customers) It had no stand or speakers which was fine cause I had a mount stand and surround sound system so I got it for about $2000.
I am looking for a price around $3000 - $3500.

Go to rtings and look at the various reviews they have for LG OLED models. They have a series of them and some can be had for around 4 grand. I don't know if they're available any cheaper.

Damn, the Jeff Bezos store has the 55in E6 for $3500... I am very tempted.
If you have time you should watch this

I'd say wait until HDR gets standardized unless you like what the current state of 4k content is right now.

did you put that plasma in pure mode?
any decent pio in good condition will have better motion, shadow detail and color linearity than current oleds, but some have suffered black level rise and need a proper tune up
talk to patrik gÄrdewall he owned different OLEDs and sold them after tuning the kuros but I wont post his contact here (he is easy to find)
