Android is cool for customization and creating cool shit. iOS is super-optimized to where it becomes an awesome daily driver for work/snapchat/etc.

Depends on the type of game. VVVVVV for example is great on mobile. Of course it's more precise playing with a keyboard but it's definitely possible on a smartphone. Downwell is great as well.
