How long do you think it will be until the next major phone brand removes the headphone jack from their latest model?
never because none are that blatently retarded , also nice rare pic
Two generations.
The Galaxy S8 or whatever will advertise "All this and we still didn't have to sacrifice the headphone jack". Samshills will be circlejerking at unprecedented levels.
By the next generation though, Apple will have put so much pressure on the market and enough time will have passed that a significant amount of people have transitioned to wireless. Then we'll see a SOBRAVE Android manufacturer remove it from their flagship, but they'll be an outlier. Not Samsung, maybe LG.
UNLESS Samsung releases their revolutionary S-Earbuds that do the same quality-tier job that Airbuds do, but manage to both look even more hideous, and get only double the battery life even though they're 4x the size of Airbuds.
I think the latter is more likely to happen. Manufacturers are going to jump on making proprietary wireless headsets now, and then they'll drop the headset jack once they hit market. There's huge profit margins in first party accessories.
Motorola already did it.
