If the game is locked at 60fps then it won't fucking matter since 144hz will always have the last possible frame on screen, also frame drops aren't supposed to be common occurrence if you know what you're doing anyway.

I game at 144hz and there hasn't been a single game locked permanently at 60fps

As long as the framerate stays at 120-150 there is no stutter or lag.
These Sync shit only works well when you CANT maintain 60fps.

So it work well for low end Rigs or if u want to game at 4K

DVI has always supported variable refresh rate.
