Is pressing and holiding power button to shut down your laptop is bad for hardware? I always curious about it and never had good answer.

No but it might be bad for your software.
It's kinda like force quitting a browser. It wipes clean a lot of shit that might not want to be wiped clean.

I was wondering about it, because yesterday I had "bad" pendrive (my iso was bad) with bootable linux. When it loaded, the grub showed up so I turned off by the button. I installed from other device, but I'm curious if my hardware can be damaged by this (done those power offs around 10 times)
if your mid update or writing to a drive it could leave the drive corrupt or damage the os, but not really any bad for hardware, only software

Not really. I wouldn't worry about it.

only the harddrive could be corrupt or the usb if it was mid write like during an install, could just format and carry on or worst case the hdd would be dead forever but thats highly unlikely

This screen showed up. I didn't know the command, so I turned off by button lol.

It's okay for hardware, but 1 in a 100 times it will royally fuck your filesystem leaving the machine unbootable
that's cause it literally is the kill switch that prevents any power to go through.
imagine instead of asking you to go to bed I knock you out instead, are you gonna remember what you were doing before i knock you out half the time?

>didn't press tab

It will most likely corrupt your data on your HDD. just don't fucking do that shift often.
