Why doesn't /g/ just start their own micro-nation on some uninhabited land in Canada?
>We're quiet and docile so the Canadian prime minister probably won't give a fuck
>It's far enough north that when the idiots melt the ice caps and global warming kicks in we'll at least still be comfy and not hot as shit
>we make money by coding somehow (main export)
>buy shipping containers
>live in them and slowly expand the city
>have a mesh net
>have privacy guaranteed by our constitution and ban mass data collection
>ban closed source software/firmware/hardware/etc
>basic gun training/handling taught in school
>non-standing army, everyone is given a voucher for a free gun once they pass a six month training course and pass a mental evaluation
>focus government on more long term goals like brain-machine interfaces and mind-upload stuff, body preservation
>once population gets to a certain threshold we start building a new micro-nation and it's basically a new state with a new constitution that would try to fix things in the old one, but we allow people who still like the old ways to live in the old state.
Would you live there? How retarded is this do you think? Do you guys want to do it?

Because most of /g/ has no practical skills whatsoever.
>>56512287
>ban closed source software/firmware/hardware/etc
No electronics then, alright.
>>56512305
Our main export would be code
>>56512287
Sure you got 500 mil to get started
>>56512319
/g/ can't code.
I'll design the flag

>we make money by coding somehow (main export)
>ban closed source
So... no money?

This isn't the proper attitude. We could crowd fund a lot of this and if we get the proper people involved we could get some big investors.
Look at elon musk: He's got people investing billions to go to space. It's useless. We're going to be a government whose focus isn't on outer space, but cyber space, and uploading human consciousness to computers.
Can we keep out all the (((undesirables)))?

People don't pay for the code, they pay for the time it take to write the code. Programmer is a very lucrative job, we could also run security firms.
>basic gun training/handling taught in school
die 'murican fagg

Why is it that posts starting with "So" are often unusually stupid?

Your government is going to rape you one day.
Also this model is very similar to the swiss model and nothing like the American model.

You actually believe that if you and you buddies all had guns you could do anything to stop your government if it turned into an opressive one?
Tough luck kid. Welcome to the real world
Can it really be called a micronation if the average citizen weighs 400+ lbs?
