Seriously, this program turned into shit.
What's the best alternative?

I'm using Amaze and it's decent. Not sure what features you need but Amaze looks good and does the job.
>>56511165
This. It's solid.
I've been using MiXplorer for a while now. Haven't come across anything it can't do thus far.

This is seriously great. Shame it doesn't have LAN support, it was the one thing I needed.
>>56511075
Solid Explorer.
>>56511342
It does.
SAMBA, FTP, SFTP, WEBDAV, BLUETOOTH supported as well.
Not sure if there's a more complex setup required, but I know it supports it.
>>56511359
Damn you're right, it was simple. Thanks.
>>56511761
Anytime mate.
Does Solid Explorer have a way to explore files in a local network?
READ THE FUCKING WIKI
>>56511170
Yeah right nigger, using a terminal on a touchscreen is soooo much better right. Tapping through 2 keyboard pages to find a / is exactly the way mobile file systems should work...You FUCKING tard.
File Commander or CM13 File Manager
>>56511213
Why isn't this on the Playstore?
>>56511821
I don't know.
I use the XDA app store to pull those kinds of apps down. I think a lot of the XDA devs aren't huge fans of Google.

just get the cracked pro version
Use lucky patcher to crack solid or get Miexploer

This
I've switched to MiXplorer and it's amazing.
The only thing I miss about ES was the sdcard analyst. Anyone know where I can get that functionality? (it's essentially a WinDirStat for android)

Firewall it. Other than that I see nothing wrong with it.

Amaze. It's open source and clean af

The UI just went to shit. It's bloated.
>>56512854
Not only that but it's literally malware, like /g/ has been warning for a long time.

Check your network logs
>>56512838
It hasn't had ads in a long time
>>56512854
UI is decent and actually has a lot of options, the homepage is the only "bloated" part. ES is years ahead of amaze, even a year old version of it with less "bloated" UI. Nobody is forcing you to use the latest version, just like nobody is forcing you to use Windows 10
>>56512869
>>56512893
It isn't really. But you can as >>56512838 said put it behind a fire wall if you're paranoid, although almost every single app has telemetry so it doesn't even matter. Just install something like AFwall+ to blacklist everything suspicious
>>56513004
>check your network logs

>>56511213
Creating archives in sd-card fails (possibly doesn't have write permission?). On es it worked fine. Apart from that, I'm highly thinking of replacing es (4.0.2.1) with MiXplorer.
>>56513084
>put it behind a fire wall if you're paranoid
Because there's no way an app with root access can bypass a firewall.
Unless you don't give root access to ES, in which case you're probably better off using your ROM's default file manager anyway.

Just tested file streaming on MiXplorer and it's significantly slower than ES File Explorer. I can't stream videos with it.

From their own app description. I won't touching that with a ten foot pole.

Solid's pretty fine. I bought it for what, 50 cents off play store during some sale? Coincidentally, it was on sale at the same time when people posted a lot of ES file explorer doing shady shit and I jumped ship immediately. Haven't regretted. SMB side works well, too.
>>56511075
I quite enjoy the ASUS filemanager
>>56511815
What happened to the new file manager from CM anyway? Is it still in the works?
>>56514526
>From their own app description. I won't touching that with a ten foot pole.
You know why they give you that warning? Under kitkat apps can't write to sd-card, so if you cut it, and when amaze tries to paste it (deletes the file) and fails. They could have added some fail-safes, but ultimately, it's android's fault.
