Create a GUI in Visual Basic and track their IP address

Also, watch out for red code

Thank you so much !!!!

You can try to apply some filters with sharpening, that might help... but not a lot.

I don't think there's enough data to get anything from it. Especially not from a downsized facebook upload.

it looks like it says BAN 420 to me

If I got the actually pic would that help any? Didn't think it would make a difference so I just saved it off the post can get the actually pic?

That's why you don't use tiny license plates with an unreadable font.

Yes it would.
Please don't write like that.

Honestly OP, what you gave in your photo is more than most people get in that situation. Just call the police and file a report with that photo.

its ohio, and their plates are 7 characters:
XXX XXXX
>>
>>56501462
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Vehicle_registration_plates_of_Ohio
well the first 3 are letters and the last 4 are numbers.

so it looks like B_N 42__(87?)

i'm no expert, but i tried to work with the compressed data and i "extrapolated" what i could.

it's so hard to see what's there, too much dither.

my ideas:
DLK 4257
DIN 4327
DIN 4287
DIN 4237
>>
>>56501794
nice pic there... seems we agree on the DIN and the 42

I think the last character is a 3 because of the midpoint where there seems to be a blob, which is flanked by blank space above and below.
>>
>>56501791
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Vehicle_registration_plates_of_Ohio
Yeah I think the first letter is a D because on the wiki page, the license plate that looks like the one in OP, it says DAA-EQZ and EUJ-FAK were issued for that plate.

And you can almost perfectly see the full circle and the hole of the D/O on the first letter. Second letter looks a little asymetrical to me on OP so I personally am not convinced that it's an I. The numbers are most certainly 42?? though.

D_N 42__ is what i think
>>
>>56501791
This picture really makes me think second letter is a J. It looks like you can see the perfect line on the right of the letter, but then it looks like it curves toward the D at the bottom. DJN 4283?
>>
Thank you guys for all the help.
Im in michigan. Dont think its an Ohio. Apologize if im being a burden.
>>
>>56502105
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Vehicle_registration_plates_of_Michigan
ah yeah that looks like a match on the 2013-present michigan plates. looks just like the OP. gotta be a D for the first letter then. and still ABC 1234 format.

says DAA-DNT are the currently issued letter combos
>>
>>56501791
looks like D1N 4223 to me
>>
>>56502174
>>56502105
Thanks, yes, now that looks right considering the bottom block of blue has that little "wave" to it.

According to the plate wiki:
"DAA 0000 to DNT 9999 (as of August 1, 2016)"

That's in line with what we've been getting at so far.

As a typographer (that sounds douchey but I'm genuinely trying to help) there are a few clues that might help.

First letter is almost certainly a D: Straight stem with a bowl on top, straight section, with another bowl on bottom. Could also be considered a stress for the curved section (depends on font)

Second letter has a long straight stem, hard to tell if there is an descender, so can be either a L or J.

Third letter has a strike going from top left, to bottom right. Not wide enough to be a M or W, so the best candidate seems like an "N".

on to the second set:

Would bet a large amount of money on a 4, since the crossbar is midway up the character with an angled arm that touches the stem. A 4 is very unique and isn't close to other numbers in this respect.

Second number looks like a 2. Upper bowl met with a spine down to a lower straight section on the baseline.

Third/Fourth
This part is the most difficult, there is definitely a 3 in there. Bowl, to cross bar, to bowl.

I think the second section, after much consideration reads: 4231

A GUI what? You mean a GUI interface? Be careful also OP. They could be a killer.

>>56502597
Actually N could also just be a K. Hard to tell, but the enhanced photos help

Why should you think I'm right?
I'm high
>>
>>56501441
This or 4263
>>
>>56502625
holy shit we got a typographer in here this is a real investigation now lmao.

I think the second letter is not an L, but a J. You can see a bar going down, but the bar looks like it's aligned to the right, not to the left.

L J. the L has a bar going down just like a J but the bar is on the left of the letter rather than the right. In the picture it is clear there is a bar going down, but it looks like theres space between the bar and the first letter, but no space between the bar and the 3rd letter. so I don't think it's an L.

Yes I think the first part is definitely DJN. It definitely starts with a D because the wiki page says that all issued plates for that style start with a D. So I would bet on DJN.

The numbers are really difficult. Yeah I think the first one is definitely a 4 because of that initial slant that seems to be going diagonally upward and also raised up from the bottom of the letters like on no other number except 4. The second number looks like one single curvy line like a 2.

Now the last two letters are guesswork. I see what seems to be a little joining part that looks like the midsection of an 8 where the 2 circles meet. The last letter looks like mostly open space so my guesses are 0 or 1. or maybe the last number is a 7 because it looks like there's a blue bar right up against the right edge of the license plate, like how the bar in the 7 is on the right.

For a second I saw it as 4280 when I glanced at it, so that's what I think now.

DJN-4280 or maybe DJN-4230

DIN-4217?

Don't you have a registration check site? Just punch in the registration numbers until a model of this car shows up. Surely there isn't going to be a million of these cars registered in the area with similar number plates.

Fucking overlay that shit (with some transparency)

>>56501053
U wot m8?
>>
>>56503030
and i would bet a lot of money on DJN 4287 because that second letter looks way too asymmetrical/slanted to be an I.

and btw to >>56502625 I don't think the final number is a 1 because it appears to have a bar across the top, so it is probably a 7. what do you think?
>>
>>56502919

Can see your point there about the J...

However, due to the tight spacing between the D and N, its too narrow to be a L or J. That is simply one straight stem, the only letter that fits the bill is an I. The L/J's "leg" would widen the gap.

An 8 in the last four digits certainly isn't ruled out. We are both agreeing (essentially) that there is a numeric character with an upper and lower bowl, joined by a spine, only 3 6 8 9 fit that bill.

>>
>>56503387
aren't license plates monospaced? and yeah looking at it again it could be a 3. I thought it would be an 8 but it doesn't look like the lower hoop is closed. so by that logic either 5 or 3
>>
>>56503398
first letter must be a D, because it's a 2013-present michigan plate https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Vehicle_registration_plates_of_Michigan

>>56503387
but you gotta agree that last one is more likely a 7 and than a 1 though. do you see that bar at the top?

I was involved in an accident this morning. A white or possibly light skinned mixed woman with frizzy hair in her early to mid twenties hit me and drove off. She is deranged and literally tried to get me to rear end her by break checking me really hard getting off of the 496 Waverly exit on the west side of Lansing, then yelled at me at the St. Joe intersection, when I rolled up my window she hit my car and drove off. If anyone sees this car around Lansing can you please get the license plate number.. Or if anyone can enhance this photo to be able to that'd be great. I have a police report filed, they are on the look out for her vehicle with this picture, and we have a partial number but the full would help tremendously. It is a Chevy Prizm with back driver side damage and now front driver side damage, a soft gold color with a bunch of bumper stickers on it. Please feel free to share this and get the word out. This woman is crazy.
>>
Maybe go to the cops with all the info in this thread and try to get some sympathy points so they will run the plates for you?

>>56503449
I think you're right about the monospacing, now that you mention it.

I can see 'some' pixel information on the picture I posted earlier that would indicate a left leg, so the middle character being a J is absolutely valid.

I'm abit burned out after staring at this after a 12 hour work day. I'll try and revisit it in a little bit. Before I leave though take a look at this page, maybe it will help:

http://www.15q.net/mi.html

Last picture / entry on the page. Should give some indication of font personality.

>>56503574
I can definitely see a 7 too...

>>56503569
Report the incident (obviously), location/time (your picture should have embedded GPS/time information), see if there were active external security cameras along the way (at businesses, banks are always good) and to try and get their footage if possible.

If you tell police you think the plate was even D _ _ 4 _ _ _ they should be able to cross that with a brown geo prizm and get single digit results, if not one exact hit immediately.

Good luck.
>>
Not trying to get laid lol.
She is engaged to a very good friend of mine.

That was my thought also let them know the D 42 was for sure.
Again thank you guys much appreciated!

The police ID vehicles all the time with only a few numbers. They can still figure out the make, model and round-a-about year of the vehicle. So they'll punch in 3 or 4 digits (or guestimate) and look for that specific make/model. You have not called the police yet OP?
