this sounds like post-purchase rationalization, i swapped my 4.5ghz 8320 for a 2600k and even at stock speeds was a big improvement across the board.

fx 6300 bottlenecks graphics cards at 4k, that's why.

Because they're too slow in most tasks, being cheap isn't good enough.

I'm still on a Core 2 Duo and it's still chugging along just fine. Really depends on what you use your pc for. I think this rig is about 8 years old now.

i love my 6300. have it oc'd to 4ghz. holding strong.

I'm still running a fx8350 and HD 7950 there isn't a game I can't play at least at high settings.
