I just checked out on this upgrade I'm doing.

>Intel i7-4790
I'm currently running an AMD 8350 with 16gig ram and Windows 10 pro. My Gpu is an R9 280X that I will be reusing along with the PSU, ram, ssd's and case.
Any thoughts? Is it shameful to upgrade within DDR3?
p.s. poor fag?
Why are you upgrading to Haskell? Get a Skylake, they're the new future proof chips

Skylake is DDR4. I don't want to buy new ram. Haswell still has life in it, it will be faster than AMD Zen.

Makes sense then. Carry on

>5% better performance, and not even in everything
are you memeing

>Get a Skylake
And be forced to use Windows 10, and only win10 forever.
No.

Step up to an RX 480 like i did.
Noticeable performance bump, uses a lot less power and therefore makes less heat.

I can upgrade my GPU in late winter or spring. I think I can get one more season in. I don't VR and I game at 1080p.
Z97 mobo with a non-k cpu?
Also fellow R9 280x owner here, it's still a solid card for 1080p unless you want to max out recent AAA games. I'm also considering upgrade to RX 480 but not right now. All my games are couple years old anyway.
That's not a very big upgrade. I'd wait for Zen or Kaby Lake. Over clock your 8350 if possible, no reason to NOT have it at atleast 4.5ghz

make sure you're not using c6/7 state or whatever if your power supply isn't haswell ready
>locked chip
>Z series motherboard
You're an idiot.
