iPhones is the only smartphone in which each phone sells more than the previous. The 6s sold about 3 million more than the 6 did during it's opening weekend and it was just reported that the 6s is the top selling phone of 2016 so far with the iPhone 6 in third place.

Point 1:
Wired headphones always have superior audio quality to wireless (of same price) because more money is spent on the speaker itself and not some superfluous dac.

Point 2:
No battery in headphones = longer listening without charging/changing battery, and it's better for the environment throw it out.

Point 3:
3.5mm has been used since the 70s, and just because apple drops it won't make it dissapear, because it's a stereo ANALOG audio transmission jack, it's cheap, and it works well. Nobody is going to abandon analog audio transmission to the headphone just because apple decides "hurr durr thinner fone"
