What are some recommended apps to download from the play store?
I've had my galaxy s7 for a few months now but I almost never use it other than calls, texts, and the calendar
Preferably looking for apps that I can use on a daily base like a planner or something

Wtf thats a horrible recommendation. Why the fuck wouldnt you use MX player and google translate? Whats wrong with google maps? And wtf is ghost commander sounds like a gaymur file manager. Just use MiExplorer, FX explorer or ES... What ever looks better.
