My laptop of 4 to 5 years fan decided it was going to no longer work. I have this glitch in my laptop where it annoyingly types 2 every second due to spilling water on it a long ass time ago. I usually tap on the keys aggressively to stop it and I guess my laptop couldn't handle it anymore so the laptop stopped completely.
I was thinking about getting the fan fixed but

Inanimate objects don't have an ability to make such decisions. The more likely scenario is that your fan simply died or you broke it.

You could easily replace the keyboard and the fan for a fraction of the price of a new laptop.
Do you have the disposable income to easily purchase a new computer "just because"?
