Is it because it needs a PS/2 port keyboard to work at that point? I really want to see my old Diablo 1 saved games and browse with Netscape.
picture mostly unrelated
Personaly not 100% sure; but I think you do need a PS/2 keyboard on that older hardware. There are USB-to-PS/2 adapters so depending how long it takes you to get a hold of one.
PS/2 is pointless you should be using Lightning ports instead

Ok, I've had enough of your shit, tripfag.
Homeboy here finds an old machine of is, shares his nostalgia for win95 and a MAXTOR 420 MB hard drive, and you pleb right in and troll with some random lightning port shit?
GB2 reddit. Please.
OP, I think that's cool as shit. I found my old Pentium Pro 133 box a couple years back when I brought my future wife home to meet my folks. Win 98 SE, still had CSdoom 0.6 on it, and a zsnes emulator that couldn't properly layer Chrono Trigger's layer levels and had broken sound from like 1998, and couldn't render the special FX chip stuff for an old Megaman X3 rom I had. I found all of my old doom maps made with winDEU, and I had an install of MPlayer still on it.
I toast my whiskey to you, fellow /g/entleman.
Find a ps/2 adapter, and you'll be all set.
I found a ps/2 adapter and now the keyboard works.
Now I'm getting errors in boot from system.ini, pic related.

OP here, holy fucking god I HAD THAT SAME PROBLEM with another game in zsnes
if I can get this going again I'm gonna make me some chocolate milk and bask in the sounds of windows 95.

I'll give it a shot, right now I'm looking around to see what vmm.32 does and/or is.

Safe mode gives me "insufficient memory to restart windows".
I edited system.ini and added in section [386Enh]
MaxPhysPage=30000
but still no dice. I'll try with more zeros, I have 1gb of ram in the P4 computer

Same problem, "insufficient memory".
Looks like it might be too much memory and Win95 doesn't grok it. I removed one stick, and BOOYAH
SAFE MODE!
This would be a lot easier if I could find my floppy drive.

windows 95 has issues with memory sizes over 512M
