How do I make firefox fullscreen without losing the ability to resize my window?
The goal is to be able to have multiple firefox windows withouth the tabs bar and the search bar.
Perhaps it would be possible with some window managers.
You'll need to specify more about your system setup.

do you want the titlebar gone as well? If not you could just get addon that puts tap on top of it and disable the navigation toolbar

>a window manager controlling a program's widgets
No.
Install the first two extensions. I just did it and it's neat.
>enable tabs in titlebar
>use ClassicThemeRestorer and enable "Hide tabs toolbar with only one visible tab" (I think the about:config entry for this was done away with, so you'll need an add-on of some sort)
>open a new window, right-click the menu, and untick Navigation Toolbar
It's crude, but it works.
