So after many recommendations from /g/, I finally installed Gentoo.
AMA
delet this.
Did you pleb out and use genkernel or did you configure it like a real man?
Welcome to the enlightenment.

I configured it like a real man first, but it wasn't mounting my rootfs for some reason. So I just used genkernel to get this up while I'm figuring out what I need to change in my kernel config.

Never installed Gentoo so... Does configuring the kernel mean generating the .config or is there anything extra that needs to be done for the kernel on Gentoo?
>>56395526
Yeah essentially configuring all the driver and kernel options which results in the generation of the .config
>>56395600
It's not really that bad unless you're an idiot and answer every single option one by one.

so you neglected your right hand lately
Installing Gentoo on VM's work flawless for me, but I can never get it to install on actual hardware.
The part that I tend to fuck up the most is the bootloader. I always end up with the "boot is not an EFI partition" after doing grub-install.

OP here, copied someone's kernel config for MBP from online

it's like you are asking for botnet
