What is this symbol representing? I can't figure out how this weird circle relates to scrolling.
representing the cancer of lenovo tech skills
>>56386083
It's not exclusive to Lenovo, blud
>>56386095
wut, where can I find this else?
>>56386125
I've used several laptops that had it. Toshiba was one.
>>56385412
It's a nipple. Who knows how it's related to scrolling? Why is a hamburger the symbol for more options?
>>56385412
It's a fucking wheel. Because "scroll" comes from the old french "escrouelle" ~ to strip, to roll.
The metaphor has lost almost all meaning, but there is a reason why it's like this.
If an arrowed bar represent scrolling better, why call it fucking "scrolling" in the first place, why not panning? Because nobody gives a fuck, that's why. A shitload of semantics is lost on us.
For example, text has a root in the latin "textus" coming from "texo" ~ I weave. To make plaintext files have a cloth icon would be retarded, but it would be correctly retarded.

>edgelord, the post.
>>56386266
huh? what's edgy about that post?
>>56386301
I don't know what CSS you're using, but on the default one the corners are straight 90 degree angels. Very edgy.

Using a laptop? Iirc that's the scrolling icon from Synaptics touchpads' drivers
>>56386237
I bet it refers to scroll wheel in the mouse, not some obscure French reference.
Just saying.
>>56385412
thats the ubisoft logo
>>56386125
any synaptics touchpad, you idiot
>>56385412
It's the chiral scrolling feature of Synaptics. I always turn it off and use two-finger or trackpoint middle button.
>>56386863
Yesssss
>>56385412
Spin your finger in circles on the touchpad to scroll without lifting your finger up
>>56385412
it's the way your finger moves with chiral scrolling silly.
