When Microsoft first announced this they were basically saying only Windows 10 would support intel's new "Speedshift" technology, a new faster way of letting the CPU shift through its pstates so it uses less power for those ULV Ultrabooks and tablets like Microsoft's Surface.

That's impossible unless that shit is already baked into every W7/W8 ISO from years and years ago, when Zen and Kaby Lake didn't exist at all. They'll support more than just Windows 10... it's just that Windows 10 is going to be the only Windows version supported by it. Obviously, Linux will have support, because Intel has way too fucking many customers that use Linux, and they probably do some of their own work on Linux machines. Mac OS X will also have support, because Apple's not going to stop using x86, and they're not going to stop at Skylake.
