It's true. I supervised a normal building a pc just the other weekend, did another a couple months back, and I've got 2 or 3 more to do this year.
It's because the generation that really got into consoles in their teens are now in their mid 20s and have the money to spend on falling for memes.

The more the merrier I say. I don't handhold these guys, I just stop them from making hardware breaking mistakes, otherwise I let them figure it out, do all their own research into what bits they want. It's been fun.
