Upgrading an old late 08 MBP to resell. Would I get more money from a 750GB HDD or 250GB SSD?

pls don't respond to this bad troll thread

I would much rather have the ssd

Depends who you're selling it to.

Shitmunchers will prefer 750GB (aka "over 200,000 songs!").
>>
>>56363205
That's what I was thinking...I'd assume people who don't know what an SSD is will see a bigger number and just throw more money at it.

Go check the eBay prices on them. Even being old, there's a $200 difference between a base model and one with all the upgrades.

Mactards will literally buy a steaming pile of shit if it was in the shape of the Apple logo.

Apple stuff just holds its value, another reason it's not really over-priced, as you can sell it for half of what you paid usually. Whereas absolutely nobody wants used PC hardware, even if it's only a few months old.

Apple trash has no value. You pay $300 for a $30 laptop anyone with a brain retired years ago and $270 for a logo because religious fanaticism.
>>

Wut ? First ssd made by intel is using sata port, that was 8 years+ ago.

>>56363337
>$300
Fugg isn't latitude always cost $1000+ when new?
>>
>>56363402
I used a good ssd (500~MBps rw speed) on a sata2 port (~220MBps rw speed) and it was awful, it was just a little faster than an hdd. Not really worth it.
>>

Latitudes have come down a lot in years since for business needs you really don't need something powerful. Literally the only reason is the way IT budget works and the cost/time to pay IT to reinstall and maintain old machines vs just buying a fleet of new ones.

That and because of the constant refreshes of millions of them being sold and resold by businesses floods the market with them crashing the prices.

are latitudes as easy to DIY service as thinkpads are?

I've thought about getting an e6330 before as they look pretty awesome considering the small factor and the hardware contained inside
