When you think about it in many ways Windows is more like a living organism that's shaped by natural selection and evolution than an intelligently designed product.
It has a lot of vestiges from the past and workarounds and hacks.

The biggest trigger for me is why the fuck would you have a shit load of folders in icon view and not list view.
