Hey /g/
I'll just get the cliche out of the way quickly. I'm a college student looking for a laptop. I just need it to do the basics, paper writing, web browsing, plus light gaming, and I need to be under $1000, under $800 if possible. I'm just about to settle on an Acer Aspire E 15, but I'm stopping here to make sure I'm not making a terrible mistake I'm unaware of. If you have a much better suggestion I will happily hear it, as I am not very tech savvy. I also don't browse on this board very often, so I'm sorry if I come off ignorant.
Thanks you for any help!

What I am considering as of now
You should install gentoo.

Sure thing buddy. I almost want to help you because I like the image you used for the Op, But /g/ is not your personal consumer advice board.

Gaming will definitely be light on that machine.
Actually, get it. Don't be like all those guys who get to college and binge video games, failing their classes.
Get something better, second hand.
