The cooler is one of the few that will fit in that low profile case. The 6600k is fast enough that I won't need to overclock for the foreseeable future. It was also on sale for less than the 6600. In like 3 years if it's too slow for my needs, then I'll buy a new motherboard to overclock it on. LGA1151 is sticking around until at least 2018 anyway.

I have an MSI 480 that I currently run at 1375 mhz with the memory at 2200. Mine is pretty good.

I think a 480 would work better but thats just me
