>want to watch Chinktoons on my comfy monitor
>Don't want mum to barge in and see that I'm autistic
I need a solution that can instantly shut down my computer when the door opens. Any ideas? I'm on Linux.

>Doesn't want mom to think he's autistic
>Still lives with mom and watches anime
I think she knows, anon

Why not changing the background with a specific key, or make it fullscreen?
>contact or light sensor on doorframe
>thin wire going to computer
>execute program on pc when sensor is triggered
>>56324348
Just change the angle of your monitor you dipshit. Youre over complicating this.
>>56324478
They aren't
Only numale arts major/ feminist studies majors or manchildren
>>56324348
an empty bottel of beer on your door handle anon. As soon as it smashes on the floor your mom will be distracted, you'll have plenty of time to access your .352 colt python and shoot a bullet with indented path through her fucking stomach.

kek
>>56324512
>manchildren
The majority of 4chan then.
>>56324348
>I need a solution that can instantly shut down
Why? Just have switch workspaces set to a keybinding so that when mummy dearest opens the door you can hit spacebar to pause and switch easy
>>56324348
holy shit accept yourself dude
if your mum's a decent person then she's probably more sad that you're so anxious and self-aware than the fact that you like moeshit

THIS

This would be a pretty cool project, I suggest a reed switch.
>>56324348
Have you tried asking your mom to knock on your door?
>Not living in a house where your mum respects your privacy
>Not living in a house where your mam knows about your autistic hobby
This thread reminded me of the time me and my stepmum watched Samurai Chapedlips and Gundam.
I doubt you have a black stepmum, but I mean it can't be that hard to introduce her to some pleb shit like Akira or something
Years ago my dad saw me watching Aishiteruze Baby and asked me why I was watching sick shit.
I got pissed off and told him it was a drama and had nothing to do with kiddy fiddling.
>>56325049
That's cause your dad watches it for a different reason.
just download DiskCryptor, it has a dedicated bluescreen hotkey.
>>56324348
Get a job.
>>56324348
>tie rope from door to power cable
>open door
>no more anime
>tie string to the pin of a grenade
>make it so when mom opens the door it pulls the pin
>???
>profit!
>get arduino (£10 tops)
>simple circuit with two resistors and crocodile clips that breaks circuit when the door is opened
>interface with arduino from PC
>issue kill when break is detected
alternatively, if you're too stupid do this:
>>56325268
>not having a laptop so you can lay in bed with your back to the wall
I could never ever sit with my back towards a door or open space, I'm too paranoid. Ever since my dad walked in on me jacking off and I was barely able to close shit down and hide my dick before he saw, if I ever watch anime with my back to the door I keep looking over my shoulder and feeling on edge.
>>56325459
>Ever since my dad walked in on me jacking off
please do tell more anon, was your dad proud?
>>56324348
well, you could stop being an insecure faggot buying into stupid memes and just enjoy your anime
Otherwise, I'd suggest keeping one of those cyanide things like in spy movies and stuff while you watch anime. IF your mom opens the door, bite down, and it'll all be alright.
>>56324348
Just have some stuff on a different workspace and use a key combo to swap to it instantly.
When I "redesigned" my room when I was 16 I put the desk so that the back of the monitor faced the door, then I got headphones.
I just told my parents I liked the "open space" of facing the door and not the wall and the headphones are much higher quality for listening to music and they didn't seem to care.
I moved out when I was 22, and my mom was NEVER knocking on my door, she just barged into my room. My dad usually wouldn't care much unless he came home drunk then he'd just walk around my room for 10 minutes and brabble on about shit.
Although for me the main reason was that I played Counter Strike and my parents didn't want me playing this "sick violent shit" etc.
They hated cartoons too (starting from the simpsons) but at least they didn't care about me watching them.
Buy playing CS was a no-no and they took my computer away for a month and shit etc.
My folks mean well but moving out solved a lot of problems in my life (and created a few new ones)
>>56324348
>a-anon, why are you sitting here in the dark staring at your turned off computer?
>>56325459
This exact thing also happened to me during my childhood and now I'm also extremely paranoid. Even if I'm doing something on my phone in public I will try and block anyone from being able to see
>>56324478
Whatever makes you feel normal my friend
>>56324735
This.
write a bashscript that presses spacebar and switches to the second workspace and bind it to a key
Privacy filter.
>not watching your sightlines
rearrange your room so you can't see the monitor from the door
>>56324348
>living with parents
>not fitting a lock on your door
are you 12?
>>56324348
Buy a VR
Hardware solutions are the best. I designed one for you.
>>56325049
>I got pissed off and told him it was a drama and had nothing to do with kiddy fiddling.

Do this if you are really autistic
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zL_HAmWQTgA
>>56324348
Just position your computer so you are facing the door.
>>56328375
i like you :>
>>56328375
That shit better be patented or you're out of a small fortune.
>>56328375
>not designing thermite charges
Casual shit breh, grenades have been used before and there's a 60% chance of evidence destruction
Thermite when placed right fucks properly everything up in seconds
Make the back of your monitor face the door.
Since you're on Linux, use a DE where you can use the scroll wheel on the virtual desktop widget. This way there's no obvious "click" noise when you try to minimize the window. You just roll the scroll wheel on the widget and you're on another desktop.
>>56328375
That won't work, the pin in a grenade is the same as a pin in a fire extinguisher. The pin is a safety, the lever/handle is what actually sets it off.
>>56328964
Is there not a spring under the lever?
Pulling the pin, while not holding it, would cause it to detonate after 3seconds or so.
>>56324348
>Not just buying a privacy screen
>>56325637
I'm actually interested, I'm 19 and planning to move out as soon as possible
Are you paying rent or you bought that house?
Also, what are the few new problems you're facing?
>>56328964
there's a spring.
As long as you're not holding the lever, it'll go off in a few seconds.
>>56328964
Unless you are holding the lever on a grenade it will literally fly off when you pull the pin out.
Embrace it, OP. Mommy knows I'm a degenerate hedonist so she doesn't come knocking, and finds me too disgusting to do anything about it
Come the day of the rope, all weebs will be sent to gulags and salt mines.
Just always keep your fingers on Alt+Tab and as soon as you hear the door open, press down. Worked for me for years.
My mom will never catch me watching anime.
