What does /g/ think of projectors? I'm moving out and thought it could be pretty pimp to have a projector so I can watch hi-def tentacle porn on my wall, maybe even use it for vidya.

What do I get if I don't want to get jewed like all the normies who will literally vomit cash on anyone selling an ~authentic home cinnamon experience~

Surely /g/ has an opinion on these things?

I've had a couple.
You can't have too much light or resolution.
You can have too much weight and noise.
Check how long the lamps last and how much they cost.
Don't get a Business Graphics projector (nice and cheap) unless you like your PR0N in 16 colors.
>>
There are shitty ones for as little as $200-300 but you'll regret it.

The minimum entry price for getting an acceptable projector is $800-1000.

That buys a lot of HDTV these days.

Look at native resolution, the input resolution they advertise is bullshit. Usually if the projector is >$1000 it's worth considering. Keep in mind the bulbs last about 3 years and cost between $200-350.

I have an Optoma HD26 and had a 131xe before that. I much prefer the image over a TV screen but you need a room that you can black out (I used my guest room) unless you don't mind waiting for sundown.

What screen did you buy?

Before that, I used a roll up blind, it worked pretty well but the colours are a lot better on a proper material.

I'm aware that Imgur.com will stop allowing adult images since 15th of May. I'm taking actions to backup as much data as possible.
