I genuinely don't understand why people are so fucking disgusting to people who like game compatibility (Windows) and literally anything Apple ever

>Why does /g/ hate gays and the botnet?
>>
>>56293112
At first I thought it was Steve but they seem to be more disgusted with Apple now and that guy is dead.

I find Apple more disgusting now but that's primarily because of how much they are fucking up the music industry by treating it like the video game one with their exclusives bullshit but most of /g/'s hatred goes beyond that.

At any rate, any reason to hate apple is probably valid.

Windows users are sad obnoxious manchildren whose lives revolve around specs and benchmarks to validate their shitty hobby.

They have the arrogance to believe they are better than Mac users because they spent $500 on a plug and play graphics card and have to install their own drivers.
>>
>>56293146
Some people just don't give a shit about that and you're still fucking assholes to them. For instance, I use Windows, have an iPhone, and use OS X occasionally because unlike the fucking cucks on this board who live in their moms basement who actually give a shit about the "government spying on them" or something like they can stop it. Protip - you can't. If you use the Internet or own a phone connected to a common US carrier, the government will spy on you. Best to just shut the fuck up and stop being faggots to people that don't agree with you
>>
Their userbase is annoying, ignorant and entitled.
>>
We don't like Apple because they overcharge for sub par products, and value form over function.
We don't like windows because of how many limitations it has compared to Linux alternatives.
Both apple products/operating systems and windows are also closed source and have glaring privacy issues such as forced telemetry.

At least for Windows most people here will recognize the use of it for certain tasks (games, CAD software, etc), but there is literally no reason to ever go with an apple product. The alternative will always be better and cheaper.
>>
>>56293229
Not everyone is like that man. /g/ needs to open up their eyes and look at the people who aren't like their stereotype
>>
>>56293240
Windows is only better if you don't value usability.
>>
>>56293276
This isn't necessarily true.
Like I mentioned, it depends on what you use your computer for. I play a lot of games, so for me dual booting windows and Linux is the best option. With this setup I can use Linux for normal use, and I want to play something or use Photoshop I boot into Windows.
>>
Because it's cool to hate on the mainstream and hip to use niche products instead.
>>
>>56293112
This is /g/ - Technology, not /g/ - Steal & call it Innovation or /g/ - Gayming

That's why.
>>
>>56293156
The music industry has been like that since the 1950s you asshat. Anyone on /g/ shouldn't have any issues obtaining whatever music they want in a matter of seconds, so why does it matter?
>>56293428
Every single desktop environment today stems from Apple's refinement of XEROX's abandoned concepts. It's easy to keep lying to yourself, but it's not going to get you anywhere.
>>
>>56293428
Windows is still tech
Stealing tech is still tech

I did not imply your comment about XEROX is wrong, simply because i have no knowledge to either argue or know what i'd be talking about.

Being vaguely inspired by the industrial design of completely unrelated product categories that came decades before is not the same as stealing.

Apple taking the core idea of the Xerox Alto's late-70s desktop GUI and refining it into a more streamlined mass-market product with several fundamental improvements some seven years later is also not stealing.

Microsoft poorly aping the Macintosh's GUI a year after its debut out of sheer desperation is literally stealing.

I agree on the calculator and ipod.

while i don't know enough about the history of composited desktops to say otherwise, i will say that windows xp does not use a compositor, vista was the first version of windows to do so, with dwm

>/g/ hates Apples.

No they don't because mactards on /g/ fanboy over them then they do with Google/Windows.
>>
Homosexuality is a sin. The CEO of apple is literally a raging degenerate homosexual irl. You know the rest.
>>
>>56293112
People shouldn't like what I don't, especially on here.

Seriously though, most iFags on here are obnoxious fanboys who generally have little to contribute to the conversation, and we all know that /g/ wants /v/ to leave, hence the apparent hatred of windows users. Also Linux/BSDfags have historically never liked microsoft.
>>
>>56293215
>I use Windows
Microsoft knows everything about you. Especially the porn you masturbate to. Also anything you create on your PC using MS services technically belongs to Microsoft.
Enjoy.

Enjoy your killswitch after 2 years of use.

No one is really talking a\bout the government here.
Everything about you is collected and sold to the highest bidder for marketing purposes.

That's a window manager in which you can open up several applications within a single window/container, basically like tabs. You can look up the i3 user guide to see their implementation of stacking windows
